ADU’s
An Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) is a secondary housing unit located on the same grounds as a single-family home. These units, also known as granny flats, in-law suites, or backyard cottages, offer numerous benefits for homeowners. For those considering renting out their ADU, it provides an additional income stream and can help offset mortgage costs. Alternatively, homeowners can use ADUs to accommodate family members, providing them with a private living space while maintaining proximity to loved ones. ADUs offer flexibility and versatility, allowing homeowners to maximize their property's potential while meeting the housing needs of their community and family members.

Sheetrock, gypsum board, and drywall are essentially the same material, with slight differences. Sheetrock is a brand name for gypsum board, and both consist of a gypsum core sandwiched between paper layers, used for interior walls and ceilings. Drywall is the general term for these panels. Plaster, however, is a different material applied wet over a base (like lath) and hardens to create a smooth, durable finish. Plaster is more labor-intensive and time-consuming to install compared to drywall.
Small Holes: For small holes, use a patch kit. Sand the area around the hole, apply the adhesive patch, and cover it with joint compound. Smooth it out, let it dry, then sand and paint.
Medium Holes: For medium holes, cut out the damaged area into a square. Cut a new piece of drywall to fit. Attach the new piece to wall studs or a backer board, secure it with drywall screws, and cover the seams with joint tape and compound. Smooth, let dry, sand, and paint.
Large Holes: For large holes, you may need to cut out and replace a larger section of drywall. Follow the same steps as for medium holes but with a larger patch and more support.
For all repairs, ensure surfaces are smooth and dry between each step for the best finish.
Cracks in drywall can start small but grow over time, leading to bigger structural issues. They can be a sign of settling, moisture damage, or even foundation movement. Repairing them early keeps your walls looking great and prevents more costly repairs down the line.
You have plenty of options! Popular textures include smooth finish, knockdown, orange peel, and popcorn removal. Each texture gives a different look and feel to your space. If you want a modern update, we can smooth out old textures or apply a fresh new look that suits your style.
Small holes, minor cracks, and dents can typically be patched and blended. However, if you have large holes, water damage, or extensive cracking, replacing sections of drywall is often the best solution for long-term durability and a flawless finish.
Small nail holes or minor patches can be DIY, but for larger cracks, texture matching, or seamless repairs, hiring a professional ensures a high-quality, long-lasting finish. We have the tools and expertise to blend repairs perfectly with your existing walls.
Keeping drywall in good shape prevents further damage, improves the appearance of your home, and increases its value. Proper repairs also help maintain insulation and soundproofing. A well-maintained wall makes painting and future upgrades much easier.
For wet areas like bathrooms or rooms off a patio / pool houses, the best flooring options are:
Ceramic or Porcelain Tile: Highly water-resistant and durable, perfect for wet environments.
Vinyl Flooring: Comes in sheets, tiles, or planks; it's waterproof and easy to install.
Natural Stone: Offers excellent water resistance and durability but can be more expensive.
Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP): Looks like wood or stone, is waterproof, and is easy to maintain.
Avoid hardwood or carpet, as they are prone to water damage.

Paint is the first line of defense for your home. Paint protects the surfaces on the exterior of your home from rain, snow, sun and other weather-related damage. It is important to maintain the exterior painted surfaces to prevent long term damage to the home.
Most paint products advise not to paint when the temperature is below 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Some products that utilize new technology can be applied as low as 35 degrees, but we generally advise not doing exterior painting when in cold months.
To make your home transformation the best experience possible, when having the exterior of your home painted make sure the perimeter of the home is clear of any major obstructions that would get in the way of the painters. If you have any pets, please keep them inside while the painters are working on the exterior.
Small cracks in stucco may seem minor, but they can quickly turn into major problems. Moisture can seep in, leading to water damage, mold growth, and even structural issues. Repairing cracks early prevents costly repairs down the line and keeps your home’s exterior protected.
While small patches can be a DIY project, professional stucco repair ensures proper application, durability, and long-lasting results. A contractor will use the right materials, match textures, and apply protective sealants to prevent future issues. Investing in professional work saves time, money, and future headaches.
Stucco resurfacing involves applying a new layer of stucco over your existing surface to restore its appearance and durability. If your stucco is cracked, faded, or showing signs of wear, resurfacing can give your home a fresh, uniform look while reinforcing its protective barrier against the elements.
Sealing stucco after repairs creates a waterproof barrier that prevents moisture from penetrating the surface. This helps prevent cracks, mold, and water damage while also enhancing the color and durability of your stucco. It’s an essential step for long-term protection.
When done correctly, stucco repairs can last 10-15 years, and a properly resurfaced stucco finish can last even longer. Regular maintenance and sealing will extend its lifespan, keeping your home looking great while protecting it from moisture and environmental damage.
